we went to maui

I told you Grandma and Grandpa were going to be back soon, right?  Well, this time when they came, we left.  Jamie and I went to Maui for 5 days!
View from our room

The most exciting thing we did was go to the top of the Haleakala Crater to watch the sunrise.  Our adventure began by waking up at 2am to get to the bike company in time for them to drive us to the top of the mountain. At 10,000+ feet, it was a very chilly and windy experience, but so worth it! We got there at 5:30, about an hour before sunrise.  Pitch black.  So we saw the whooooole thing:

Then they drive you back down to 6,500 feet, give you a bike and say, "Have fun! Don't bite it on Dead Biker's Curve!"
Other than that bit of fun, it was a whole lot of this:
We owe Grandma Carolyn and Grandpa Tom BIG TIME.  Henry had a great time without us and was a good boy for them...at least that's what they told us because they're too nice to tell us what really happened.  Aloha!
